Fallingwater

One of Frank Lloyd wright's masterpieces is Fallingwater in Pennsylvania. It is preserved and open to visitors, and it is on my to do list for 2010. It is about 90 minutes outside of Pittsuburg and would make such an interesting and gorgeous day trip from my parent's home in State College, PA. Until then I will eat up these images of the stunning exterior.

As we enter the interior, look at the rich, luxurious color palette of in the cozy seating.

Here is a photograph of the interior in the 1970's.

In my research I also found the first floor floor plan. What a treat!

When I go, I will certainly share my photographs with you.

If you ever head out to Chicago we have FLW homes everywhere and there is actually a tour that happens I believe every year in May! Look into it!

What a coincidence, last week in my math class that was the wallpaper on one of the computers. My instructor commented on how it's one of his favorites.

My husband and I went a year or two ago on the way back from a trip out to Pittsburgh. It was actually even more amazing than I thought it would be, and was by far the best thing of our trip. You'll love it!
