Scenes of a Marriage is the incredible creation of Ingmar Bergman starring Liv Ullman and Erland Josephson. The Swedish mini-series that aired in 1974 intimately and honestly observes and explores a marriage over the course of several years.
Exquisitely shot, amazingly acted, as clean as Swedish design and as messy as love can get, this is one of my favorite cinematic pieces.
