Bachelorette

Thank you so very much to my sisters and best friends for making my bachelorette party the amazing night that it was. I felt so loved and embraced and will never forget the once-in-a-lifetime evening with my very closest friends. Thank you my dear hearts, I adore you.

It all began with a color-scheme in our "party bus". Everyone was in black except me, who was rockin' a gold little number. I had no idea of this pre-planned wardrobe, and was so tickled at all of the planning that went into this evening.

We arrived in lower Manhattan by water, parking lots.....I had no idea where we were heading. Our destination was on a whole other level.

Tents and hammocks and lights and everyone in spectacular costumes. We were on the Southern tip of Manhattan looking at this amazing view of Brooklyn, Manhattan, and the city's newest major art installation, Olafur Eliasson's waterfalls. We were in the breath-taking Spiegelworld.

We were escorted over to our CABANA where we drank cocktails and ate delicious food. Did you read right there where I said our CABANA. Because we had one. I'm just sayin'.

We were then taken from our CABANA to the front of a line for some sort of show. I had no idea what was about to happen. We were taken inside this amazing tent-like structure to some seats and a booth. The booth had table-service, so that's where I sat. I know what I'm doing here. The show began, and my mind was blown. Absinthe was one of the most spectacular shows I have ever seen. It was such a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

It was sexy, yet classy, burlesque and raunchy, yet no one had to deal with an uncomfortable lap dance. It was the PERFECT event for an amazing and special bachelorette night. The music, dancing, mojitos all made the entire show just incredible. Really no words, you have to see it yourself.

Dancing and sipping champagne at Royal Oak in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Followed by late night partying, singing and dancing at our place.

My outfit, if I do say so myself, was quite lovely. I wore an Elliot Mann gold dress that felt like tissue paper covered in fairy dust. Paired with my everyday elegance from Boring Sidney and a fun gift from Michaela, my white feather boa.
